We were the prime contractor for the Washington State Department of Transportation on an asphalt overlay project on Highway 599, in South King County. The project was to overlay the existing highway and ramps during a period not to exceed 55 days in order to minimize the impact to the public. By working days, nights, and weekends we were able to complete the job on time, paving 33,000 tons with asphalt from our South Seattle hot mix plant. Upon completion we received State awards for materials quality and ridability.
